The budget allocation is agreed between our school and the Local Authority at the beginning of each financial year. Detail of how this money is used to support children and young people with SEND is shown below. This is monitored each term by the Governing Body.
At St Anne’s CofE Primary School we received a notional SEN budget and this is used to support children and young people with SEND by offering a wide range of intervention and enhancement programmes within school and through our partnerships with other agencies and professionals within the Local Authority.
- Small group and targeted intervention with a teacher or TA.
- Drawing and Talking (social and emotional)
- 1:1 or small group Speech and Language Therapy delivered by an Independent Speech and Language Therapist, Emily Backes ‘Talkindales’.
- 1:1 or small group Speech and Language Therapy delivered by a TA.
The school funding formula is generated to include financial provision to specifically support pupils’ individual special needs.
At St Anne’s CE Primary School, for those pupils with High Needs, Costed Provision Maps are created with detailed evidence of supporting resources provided in school. This builds a portfolio of the progress each child makes which allows us to target resources effectively. Additional funding and financial support can be applied for from the Local Authority.
If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
